dr. tai Assalone, DACM  L.Ac.

Dr. Tai Assalone, DACM is a licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist, in NY state; a Diplomat of Oriental Medicine, board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).  She holds a doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA and a Master’s of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) in Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City. She is certified by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) in Clean Needle Technique as well as in Facial Acupuncture Techniques.

 

Tai completed internships at NYU Langone Medical Center’s Lutheran Hospital specializing in Stroke Rehabilitation and pain management; Mount Sinai-Beth Israel Continuum Cancer Center; Housing Works for HIV/AIDS patients; Veteran’s Administration Hospital/Pain Management Center. She has provided acupuncture at the NYC Tunnel to Tower run for athletes, military and other first responders and survivors of 9/11.

She works WomenKind NYC providing acupuncture for survivors gender-based violence and trauma.  

 

Her specialties include Pain Management, Anxiety and Stress relief, Migraine, Chemotherapy symptom relief, Women’s health (including infertility, menstrual disorders, and menopause), Men's health, Autoimmune disorders, and Stroke rehabilitation.

 

She strives to achieve her patient's health goals by using healing modalities such as Body Acupuncture, Scalp and Auricular Acupuncture, Herbal medicine, Electro-acupuncture, Facial Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Cupping, Gua Sha, and dietary and lifestyle advice.
